Mayor of O-fer-ville

That’s what Hubby’s been calling Coach Tressel all week.  It’s something that he and his buddies call each other when one of them doesn’t catch anything when they are fishing.  Everyone catching something but one guy catches nothing.

Since Coach Tressel is 0 for 9 against the SEC, Hubby’s calling him The Mayor.  The bad part about being The Mayor is that you stay The Mayor until the next fishing trip.  Or the next game.  It’s going to be a lllloonnnggg 12 months listening to Hubby rant about this one.

I can’t say that I’m surprised that Ohio State lost.  They started off Monday’s game like the started off last year’s game.  Unfortunately, they didn’t learn much from last year’s loss to Florida and they repeated their performance all over again.  Then when things started to go south for the guys, they turned on each other.  You should read some of the newspaper articles up here about what happened on the field during the game.  Tsk.  Tsk.  Tsk.

Now that College Football is over for the year, all I have left is the NFL.  I’m not even going to mention which team I’m rooting for because I don’t want to jinx them.

That game is a sore subject in our house.  Wally is a die hard Ohio State fan.  Beaver is a die hard Oklahoma fan.  Beaver showed no mercy in taunting Wally while his team was losing!
