Older Than Dirt

I heard something on the radio this morning that has me feeling my age today.  Today I am officially ancient.  The theme for the local MIXX radio station’s "Time Warp Prom" this spring is a tribute to the 30th anniversary of Saturday Night Fever.  I’m sorry, did they say 30th anniversary of Saturday Night Fever?  Oh. My. Gawd.  30 years?!  It was the first rated "R" movie that I had ever seen.  My then-18 year old Older Sister took me and Baby Sister to see it because we loved John Travolta.  Since then, I’ve seen that movie about a dozen times.  I used to know how to do the line dancing sequence.  That movie introduced me to disco music and now it’s old enough to be playing on the American Movie Classics channel?
Excuse me while I gather my shawl and look for my Geritol.

I have my oldie moments.  One of the kids was singing some snoop dogg song, and I realized something–that song is older than he is.  Sheesh, I\’m old.

    Dear, dear Pam,
You are not anywhere near being old.  Just wait and it will creep up on you when you are least expecting it.  ;o)

LOL!  I\’ve only seen the movie a few times all the way through, but I loved the music from it!  Some useless info that I was unaware of until a trivia competition I was involved in: Sylvester Stallone wrote, directed, and had a cameo in the movie.  Like I said, useless info unless you need it for a trivia game!
