I have the old Bill Winters song stuck in my head for some reason today. Could it be that the boss was gone all day and I could finally catch up on everything that piled up on my desk when I took a snow day last week? Well, it was a lovely "uneventful" day and I did get a lot done. But . . . (and you knew there was going to be a but)
We’re expecting another major snow event. Sometime after midnight tonight it’s going to start snowing and, by the time it’s all over, we’re supposed to get anywhere from 6 to 10 inches of snow with a little bit of sleet or freezing rain mixed in. The storm is supposed to last until sometime Wednesday morning. I’m thinking I’m going to have at least one snow day and possibly two. It all depends on if the weather geeks get it right. The Lovely Day part is that the snow isn’t supposed to start until after midnight. I didn’t have to drive home from work in the snow/ice/slush that they’re predicting.
It might also be a "Lovely Day" because it’s the start of the Westminster Dog show. I’ve been watching the Westminster show for years. Yes, Blacky and Luci watch it with me. Even though Hubby is a big dog lover, he’s not much for watching dog shows. He just doesn’t seem to get the concept. I love watching all the different types of dogs, the handlers, and the judges. I look forward to this almost as much as I look forward to the Super Bowl. (I like the Super Bowl more because they have better commercials.)
So if Monday is a "Lovely Day", I can’t wait to see what the rest of the week is going to be like . . .
