Hubby just left for the his Sunday bowling league and I have the whole house to myself. For the next four hours I have the whole house to myself. Plenty of time for me to get the housework done . . . but knowing me and my tendency to dawdle when it comes to housework, I’ll still be working on it when Hubby gets home about 3 this afternoon.
I have to make a quick trip to Kroger’s to get some stuff for Hubby’s lunch next week. I guessed wrong when I was at the grocery store on Thursday and didn’t some of the stuff that he needs. Ooopps . . . guess from now on I’ll just take his word for it when he tells me we are out of something. But I thought for sure that there was more soup in the cupboard. Oh well. It’ll be an adventure. The weather geeks are calling for another major snow storm to start sometime either today or tomorrow and last until late Tuesday night. Whenever the weather geeks call for major snow in these parts, everyone flocks to the grocery store and the gas station.
The doggies are running in and out to play in the snow. I finally had to put my foot down and tell them no they aren’t going out for a while. It’s 18 degrees outside. It’s just too cold. Blacky just sits on the deck and watches the world go by. Luci goes out just to see what kind of "treats" she can find buried in the snow. I’m doing potty patrol every day and she’s STILL finding something to snack on. Let me tell ya, you haven’t lived until you’re out doing potty patrol in 18 degree weather trying to dig up frozen poo.
Since the doggies are napping, I should take advantage of the peace and quiet to get some housework done. It’s always easier to get the stuff done when Luci isn’t trying to "help" me. She likes to take off with my dust rag or my Swiffer duster. It wouldn’t be so bad if she would actually do some cleaning . . .
