Saturday Stuff

Wow, what a difference a day makes.  Yesterday it was in the mid 70’s, sun shining, almost summerlike.  I even went outside barefoot!  The house was stuffy and warm when I got home from work, so I opened the windows and turned on the box fans.  Of course, Luci had to investigate everything I did.  She doesn’t seem to be bothered by box fans, still dislikes the ceiling fans, and loves open windows.  We live in an older house and the windows are long enough that Blacky can stand at the window and look out at the world.  Luci isn’t that big yet, and she has to stand on her hind legs and put her front legs on the window sill to look out the window.  I’ll have to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn’t destroy my curtains.
A cold front came through last night and we got a little bit of rain and now it’s cold.  Today it’s in the mid 40’s.  The sun is shining and there’s a slight breeze, but it’s not as warm as yesterday.  But if you’re out in the sun it’s not too bad.  Luci is out in the yard playing in the sun.  Blacky has been in and out most of the day – seeing what Luci’s doing and what Mommy is doing.
We have discovered a couple more things that Luci is afraid of.  She doesn’t like the sound of motorcycles racing up and down our street.  If she hears one, she runs to the mud room and it sounds like she’s trying to knock down the door to get into the house.  She also doesn’t like sudden downpours of rain.  Last night it was clear and dry one minute, and then it was raining really big raindrops really hard.  I was on the deck and she came running to me like "Make it stop, Mommy!"  She went into the house until the shower stopped and then went back outside like nothing happened.
Haven’t done much today.  Had to get a haircut, took lunch to Hubby, made my weekly trip to Wal-Mart, went to Lowe’s to get some info for Hubby on a storage shed for the back yard.  Now it’s time for some housework until Hubby gets home from work and then off to church.
Oh, I hear Luci at the back door.  She’s either hungry or thirsty.  Better go for now!
